What was the highlight of The Maslow Hotel, Time Square
This hotel is only a little over a year old but the rooms and staff need a lot of HELP!
The location was good and I want to commend Khomotso who checked me in and proceeded to try his best to sort out my MANY MANY ISSUES WITH THIS PROPERTY. The Front Office Manager (I forget his name) also did his best to shift me until the 4th room as all the rooms allocated to me had SOOOOO MANY ISSUES. Deli who checked me out was also very professional and handled all issues to the best of her ability.
Despite making my booking 4 months in advance and specifying the type and location of the room I wanted, I was given the exact opposite. I requested for a room on the highest floor and furthest away from the elevator where I would have peace and quiet, and the opposite was done. 3 rooms later, I was in a room where the A/C didnt work properly (it wasnt cooling and made a horrendous sound) the sink was flooding, there was no light in the wardrobe, there was only half a toilet paper, there was no safe, no drinking water, and when I requested for a robe and bathroom slippers I was asked to put down a deposit of R500 in case I steal the robe. So I was "upgraded" from the "Foundation room" (which is apparently 3 star according to the property) to a "Median room (which is apparently a 4 star room). Upon returning to my room in the evening after my busy day, I found no water, no towels, yesterday's fruits still on the table making the room smell and the coffee I'd used not replaced. BTW there was a cappuccino machine without the cappuccino sachets. So I called housekeeping and the housekeeper sent had very dirty filthy shoes and her trouser zipper was wide opened. She looked very upset so I decided to write down (on the one page of my writing pad) all issues I had instead of talking to her I was a bit afraid. Thereafter, I put my "Do Not Disturb" sign outside my door as I was fed up but the housekeeper comes and budges in which her master key claiming she's bringing something... I asked her to leave and fix the items the next day. Oh and btw I had knocks from room service and housekeeping even with the DND sign displayed several times during my stay. After the 3rd night, the drinking water still was not replaced in the room. The hand towels had spots of dirt as well. The room service and transport staff at the concierge desk could do with some training on their communication skills with the guests...

Stayed here before, always pleasant, value for money
Pleasant, Clean, comfy beds, great staff
Couple of bits broken in the room, room door didn’t close on it’s on, part of toilet flusher broken. Booking is cheaper on booking.com even though I am a gold card holder with preferential discounts

Amazing and wanna do it again really soon. LOVED IT
Breakfast was amazing, It was my partner’s birthday and we were attending the concert on the night. The Hotel surprised us with a small Cake with a Happy birthday message which I found was amazing and my partner was over the moon. I want to book again soon, We really loved it if only we was staying for longer. She didn’t want to leave…LOL 0517 WAS MY ROOM I LOVED IT.
Wi-Fi was a problem as a guest my surname was not recognized and I couldn’t connect. I had to use my Own DATA.

What was the highlight of The Maslow Hotel, Time Square
Fantastic for a short trip to Pretoria and a spoil!
Breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful selection you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast was served every morning from the 12th floor Luminary Lounge with a magnificent view of the city. The shower was probably my favourite with a great shower head and handheld shower.
The staff at the breakfast area could be a bit more attentive and communicate better when our omelettes would be ready. I had to go and collect them from the breakfast nook about 15 minutes after they were ordered.
